Last night our varsity teams squared off against the Bereans of Temple Academy, and fortunately for us, we were able to come out with two wins. The girls won 55-25 and the boys secured the victory, 67-53. Great job to both teams!
Tonight, Madison traveled to Jackman to take on our middle school teams. Unfortunately we were not able to get any wins, but our teams gave a valiant effort. The girls lost 22-36, and the boys fell 72-45. The middle school tigers will enjoy a nice break to rest up before their big pre-tournament push.
Tomorrow the varsity teams head to bethel to take on the Telstar. Good luck and go tigers!
Last night our varsity teams traveled to North Anson to take on the Carrabec Cobras. Our boys and girls found themselves in some tightly contested games, but unfortunately fell just short. The girls lost 61-56 and the boys lost 52-41. Great work tigers, we will get them next time!
Tonight we ran it back, but at the middle school level, and in Jackman. The girls gave a good fight, but didn't have enough fire power to keep up with the cobras, they lost 33-17. The boys game was neck and neck until the end of the fourth quarter when Carrabec pulled ahead to ultimately finish off the tigers, 47-35. Great effort teams!
Thursday the varsity teams take on Temple at home, we hope to see you there!
Athens cancelled school today, so our middle school game has been postponed. I am looking at reschedule dates right now, so keep an eye out for the new date. Winter sports photos are tomorrow and don't forget that the East/West Play Day at the Augusta Civic Center is this Friday, 12/13th at 4 PM. We hope to see you there cheering on the tigers as they face off vs. Wiscasset, with a 4 PM girls tip off and the boys to follow.
